We charge €1 excluding VAT for each withdrawal that exceeds these limits.

From your customer interface, you can set the limits for payments and ATM withdrawals of your business payment card, depending on your company's needs.

However, you cannot exceed the monthly withdrawal limit. This amount varies depending on your debit card type: 

1. €1,000 with the One Card;
2. €2,000 with the Plus Card;
3. €5.000 with the X Card.

Each Qonto plan automatically includes a predetermined number of One cards. For example, you have 2 payment cards with our Standard offer.

You can order additional payment cards as needed. Each extra debit card incurs an additional cost of €5.

If you want to take advantage of the benefits of the Plus card, it will cost you €8 per month. For the X-Card and its premium services, you pay €20 per month.

Note that no income conditions are required for the allocation of our professional Mastercard Business payment cards.

The virtual payment card

Using a physical bank card carries various risks for the owner: theft, loss, or hacking, especially with phishing. To combat this issue, many online banks and financial management solutions have developed a range of virtual payment cards.

They work in the same way as a classic payment card, but you can only make online payments for your company's business expenses.

Just like with a physical credit card, you complete your order by entering your virtual card number, expiration date, and security code (CVV).

Opt for a recurring virtual bank card if you want to use it to pay for your SaaS software subscriptions. For added protection, Qonto asks you to enter a confidential code to confirm each payment. This way, the risk of your bank details being stolen is nonexistent!

3D Secure

3D Secure is a security protocol designed to prevent fraud in online credit card payments.

When making a purchase on a website equipped with 3D Secure technology, you must enter a unique security code in addition to your usual bank details (account holder's name, bank card number, expiration date, and security code).

Usually, your bank or payment institution sends you this code via SMS to ensure that you are the person making the online purchase.

The online store where you make your purchases must be equipped with 3D Secure to secure your online payments with this system. But your business card must also be equipped with it. Don't forget to check this information when comparing online business banks.

Can't find your business card anymore? Have you noticed suspicious transactions on your account statement indicating that you are a victim of bank data theft?

React immediately and contact your bank to block the card. From that moment, your debit card becomes unusable. To confirm your blocking, send a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to your bank.

Note that with a traditional bank, you cannot unblock the card if you find it after activating the block. You must wait until you receive a new payment card.

With Qonto, blocking your payment card via your app is not irreversible. You can unblock the card with one click if you find it. However, if you really lose the card, you can order a new one through the interface.

The deferred debit card allows you to postpone the payment of the purchase. For example, with a deferred payment of 25 days, the company's bank account is debited only 25 days after your purchases. The operation of this payment card is similar to that of a credit card but does not involve interest.

This type of card is particularly suitable for certain employees, such as representatives or employees who advance many travel expenses for their business trips.

Thus, their current account is debited only after their payslip is issued and their salary is received. This is a great advantage to prevent your employees from facing personal liquidity problems.

However, note that the term of the deferred debit card is fixed and predetermined by your bank. You cannot change it according to the company's business expenses. Therefore, it requires some habit to not confuse the different payment terms.

The direct debit card immediately debits purchases from the current account after payment. Usually, you have to wait 2 to 3 days before the transaction with the debit card appears on the bank interface.

No unpleasant surprises with a business card with direct debit. You see your expenses in real-time and know the balance of your accounts. A real plus for managing your liquidity.

With your Qonto account, you benefit from at least one payment card with direct debit. We do not offer cards with deferred debit.

The pre-authorization card is another variant. Like a prepaid card, this type of business card allows any purchase as long as the preset limit is not exceeded.

Nothing prevents you from overdrawing with a deferred debit card if the limit allows it. While payment with a pre-authorization card is impossible if the user wants to make a payment that exceeds the set limit.

Qonto's payment cards work just like other direct debit bank cards available on the market. To order your Mastercard Business card, you can apply from your online account. You will receive it directly by mail.

To activate the card, make a first purchase and enter your PIN on the payment terminal. Contactless payment up to 50 euros is unlocked after performing this first transaction.
