Deposit checks into your Qonto account

However, many of you told us you need to occasionally cash the checks from customers who have no other mans of payment.

After running a series of beta tests with our community, we’re happy to announce that this new feature is now available to allow you to cash checks when necessary.

Even if checks represent 5% of France’s national payments, we’re aware that they’re still part of companies' daily lives. Our philosophy hasn’t changed - we’re still confident that transfers offer many more advantages in terms of speed and security. Although we don’t feel we’ll need this feature in the future, we wanted to give you the possibility to occasionally cash checks.

From day one we’ve been committed to developing a true relationship of trust with you, based on transparency and no hidden fees. Which is why we want to explain why this new feature is not free and unlimited.

Cashing checks involves a lot of manual labor to record the transaction in our ledgers and limit fraud. While traditional banks pass this cost on as “other fees”, we prefer to charge the occasional users that use this feature rather than pass these costs on to all our customers. Check deposits are therefore subject to pricing based on the plan to you’re subscribed to.

It’s quick and easy. Simply log in to your account from your computer. For more traceability, fill in the check information by accessing the "check deposits" section on your app. Then send us your cheque by post to our address.

Be sure to factor in the time required to send and process your check. If you don’t comply with the conditions of deposit for your check, we may not be able to process it.
